BRISBANE, Feb 10 AAP - A teenager accused of a series of carjackings and impersonating
police is in custody facing more than 30 charges.
Zachary Todd, 18, of Tweed Heads, was arrested on Wednesday by police investigating
a spate of armed robberies.
It's alleged he fitted his car with flashing lights, pretended to be a police officer
and pulled over motorists.
Todd faces 32 charges, including six counts of deprivation of liberty, 10 counts of
stealing, armed robbery, and three counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
The offences are alleged to have occurred on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane.
Todd was not present in Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday when the matter was
briefly mentioned.
His lawyer made no application for bail, and Todd was remanded in custody until next month.
